Tampa International Airport Airside D

Inspiring investment in a 600K SF civic gateway

Neoscape partnered with HNTB to bring to life both the architectural vision and emotional impact of Tampa International Airport’s first new terminal in over 20 years, Airside D. Through a single, cinematic film, the team helped secure approval from key public and private stakeholders, while also generating coverage from major news outlets. Set to open in 2029, Airside D will introduce 16 new gates to Tampa and serve 35M passengers by 2037. The film conveys the project’s immense scale and significance, serving as a powerful communications tool that enabled HNTB to engage decision-makers and connect with the broader public years before construction began.

Driving momentum at a critical project milestone

Timed to coincide with the unveiling of the project’s final design, the Airside D film became a centerpiece of the terminal’s public rollout, supporting presentations, media coverage, and stakeholder engagement. This built confidence in the project vision across the region, generating awareness and shaping how the project was understood. Every time someone pressed play, the long-term value of cinematic storytelling in advancing major infrastructure initiatives was demonstrated.

Neoscape worked with us to properly express both the scale and features of the building, along with the scope and vision of what it means to the Tampa Bay community. From the initial video concept to the finished product, their team worked closely with TPA to make sure we were telling that story with the same clarity and purpose that went into the facility’s design. Neoscape helped us to literally show the ins and outs of Airside D’s construction, and how it will be used by our travelers for decades to come.

Collaborating to capture what
matters most

HNTB and Neoscape worked closely together to identify the most important architectural details and passenger experiences to highlight in the film. The work integrates sweeping aerial visuals, immersive interior renderings, and traveler-first storytelling to create a cohesive narrative that resonates at both a human and infrastructural scale. By balancing technical accuracy with emotional clarity, the film brings the future of Airside D into focus, making a complex project accessible and memorable for a wide range of audiences.

Content designed for longevity

Complex projects take years to move from approval to full build. This film represents everything from initial construction to passenger arrival, extending the value of the design and storytelling work far beyond a single presentation. We prepared this film to be constantly repurposed, helping our clients maintain visibility and reinforce the project narrative over time. From concept to construction to completion, this asset keeps Airside D top of mind.
